<aside> 💡 TL;DR Everest Carbon is a rapidly growing Carbon Dioxide Removal (CDR) company on a mission to enable gigaton-scale geochemical removal of CO2 from the atmosphere by 2035.
The company is VC-backed by renowned US and EU investors, is generating revenue, has 10 FTEs, and has developed a patent-pending sensor technology that is being heralded as the breakthrough that will unlock Enhanced Rock Weathering to scale.
Our R&D team is based in Linz, Austria.

[WANTED] Senior Embedded Software Engineer at Everest Carbon
Enable 1Gt/year of geochemical CDR by 2035, by developing the missing “pick-and-shovel” technologies that:
Geochemical CDR comprises various carbon removal mechanisms, including enhanced weathering, ocean alkalinity enhancement, and surficial mineralization. Our first product focuses on making enhanced weathering measurable, because this presents the most immediate opportunity for unlocking billions of tons of durable carbon removal.
The climate crisis is happening and there is no net zero without CDR, as there will always be so called hard-to-abate emissions left, e.g. from steel, cement, and long-haul aviation.
Even in the most aggressive emission reduction scenario under the IPCC, we need at least 1Gt/year of novel CDR by 2035 and >5Gt/year by 2050 to keep global warming below 1.5°C (UN, Emissions Gap Report 2023).
We need to deploy and start scaling CDR solutions now!
Geochemical CDR is humanity’s most promising CDR pathway: Energy requirements are very low, the logistics infrastructure exists, the required feedstocks are both abundant and cheap.
Enhanced weathering exemplifies these traits:
